Macy’s 8th annual Believe campaign kicks off with a new and exciting element – Macy’s Wish Writer stylus and app. The Wish Writer is a fun new way kids can learn the magic of giving through interactive games and write the most magical letters to Santa. One dollar from every stylus purchase will go to Make-A-Wish®, helping to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Macy’s has raised $10.8 million over the last seven years for Make-A-Wish, through its iconic letter writing campaign. From November 6 through December 24, customers can visit their local Macy’s store to drop their stamped letters addressed to Santa into the big red letterboxes, or send a letter to Santa through macys.com/believe. For each letter collected in-store and online, Macy’s will donate $1, up to $1 million, to Make-A-Wish.
Also new this year is “The Wish Writer” film, which follows the journey of a little girl and her brother as they discover the power of kindness and generosity. The film will launch on macys.com/believe and be featured in national broadcast during this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®.

Yes, Virginia The Musical
For the fourth year, Macy's is bringing the beloved, "Yes, Virginia" animated special to life on local stages across the country through "Yes, Virginia The Musical." In addition to providing an interactive toolkit on yesvirginiamusical.com, Macy's has made the script and score available on a royalty-free basis, and has awarded $1,000 grants to schools and organizations to help fund their local productions. Macy’s has also created a new Abridged Version of the musical to meet the needs of schools with a smaller student population or limited musical resources.
